Pricing FAQ
How does the 14-day free trial work?

After signup, you get access to the features in Enterprise Plan for 14 days. We don't require a credit card during the trial so that you can try OpsGenie obligation-free. Incoming Call feature will be available on demand. Please contact us for details.

Can I upgrade or downgrade anytime?

Yes, you can upgrade or downgrade anytime from within the product. If you downgrade, you'll be billed for the current subscription period and after your current subscription period ends, you’ll be billed for the new plan.

What are my payment options?

We accept all major credit cards including Visa, Mastercard, Discover, and American Express. Purchase orders and offline payment options are available for annual subscription plans. Please contact us for details.

What happens when the trial ends?

Our OpsGenie support team will e-mail you before your trial expires. If you decide to continue to use OpsGenie, you can choose one of the paid plans and pay by credit card or contact our sales team if you wish to pay by invoice. Your trial account will become your permanent account, and all your configurations and data will remain intact.
If you decide not to start paying at the end of your 14-day trial, your account will be converted to the Free plan, and features that are not available in Free plan will be disabled.

What is the difference between the user types?

There are different user structures in OpsGenie: Responder Users, Stakeholder Users, and Observer Users.

  • Each user who needs to view, receive notifications, act on the alerts/incidents, and make configurations would need to have a Responder User license.
  • Stakeholder licences can be used for users who would just need to be notified for the ongoing incidents and follow their status.
  • Observer licences can be used for users who require to be notified manually for the events which do not necessarily need to be related to any IT incidents.
The pricing plans shown on the Pricing page is mainly for Responder Users. Please contact us if you are interested in getting Stakeholder and Observer licences.

What if I need extra resources?

For the plans which have limited resources, once you reach your monthly SMS/voice resource limits, we will send you an e-mail. You will be charged for the extra resource usages from that point, which are given above in the details section.

How am I charged for incoming call usage?

There is a 10$ monthly fee per allocated incoming call number, and the cost of calls are per minute, $0.10 for calls forwarded to US/Canada destinations and $0.35 for calls forwarded to international destinations.
Standard, Enterprise and Enterprise+ accounts include an incoming call number and 100 minutes of incoming calls to US/Canada destinations.

Are SMS & voice notifications really unlimited on Standard & Enterprise plan?

Yes. International SMS & voice notifications can be terribly expensive, particularly in some parts of the world. If OpsGenie determines that the usage is abnormal or unreasonable, we reserve the right to move the customer to a usage based plan. For any questions, please contact support.

Do you support international SMS & Voice notifications?

Yes, we support SMS notifications to every country and voice notifications to over 170 countries. To view the full list of supported countries, click here.

How can I use Incident Response Orchestration features?

Incident Response Orchestration features are available for Enterprise plans on demand. If you wish to add Stakeholders to your account, they require a differently structured license than the regular Responder licenses, which is an add-on to the Enterprise plan. Please contact us for further details.

How can I use the Incident Command Center?

The Incident Command Center compliments Incident Response Orchestration and is available for the Incident Response Orchestration users on demand. Please contact us for further details.

How can I use Mass Notifications?

The Mass Notifications feature is available for Enterprise plans on demand. If you wish to add Observers to your account, they require a differently structured license than the regular responder licenses, which is an add-on to the Enterprise plan. Please contact us for further details.
